Apple Search Ads Campaign Duplication

This month, Apple Search Ads added a long-overdue feature that app marketers have been wanting for a long time.

PPC marketers using the channel can now duplicate campaigns.

Yeah, I know. It’s surprising the feature just launched this month when the channel has been around for years.

I just want to give you a quick run-through of how easy it is to duplicate a campaign in the platform.

Select the Campaign You Want to Copy

When you are logged into your account and on the Campaigns page, select the campaign you want to duplicate. Then in the top navigation, click on Actions. Then select Duplicate in the drop-down menu.

Just in case you were wondering, you cannot duplicate multiple campaigns at a time. You can only copy one campaign at a time.

Verify the Settings for the New Campaign

A new overlay will appear on the screen showing you all the settings from the original campaign source. You will have the option to change campaign name, location targeting, budgets, and daily caps. You will also have the option to copy over all ad group keywords, campaign and ad group level negative keywords, and creative sets if you have added them to your campaign.

Last, you can choose to launch the new campaign paused (a good idea if you need to make adjustments before going live), or if you want to set a specific start date for the future. Once this page is filled out you can hit the Duplicate button, and your new campaign is all set.

Save Some Time on Apple Search Ads

I told you this wasn’t going to be a long post. But now you know how easy it is to duplicate campaigns in Apple Search Ads.

Before it was a huge pain, and time killer, to create campaigns one at a time in the platform. Well, you don’t have to worry about that any more thanks to the new duplicate feature.

Have you tested out this feature yet? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
