A few months ago Facebook announced new ad formats allowing advertisers to show up in News Feeds. Sound awesome? Of course! When doing performance reviews of accounts, ppc pros typically focus on CTR, Conversion Rate, CPC, CPA, etc. Generally the different data points on cost and conversions. But one area that can often be overlooked is average position. As Sam Owen points out in his recent post, many people assume a higher average position will translate into a higher number of clicks and conversions. But more clicks and conversions don’t necessarily mean your account performance is improving. Josh gives 5 new examples of how assuming something about your work, coworkers, and the company’s environment can get you in hot water. Bing Ads

Our sole update from the engines this week comes from Bing Ads. They’re announcing that Compatibility with AdWords Enhanced Campaigns [Arrived] This Week. The post talks about Bing’s continuing efforts to make their system compatible with Google AdWords and discusses updates to many areas within the platform including device preference in ads, new variables for dynamic URLs, bid adjustments, and sitelinks. Bing has really worked hard to make their system as advertiser friendly as possible and it definitely shows. Check out these new features and get your Bing Ads campaigns into gear.
