Part 2: New Ways to Boost Your Bing Shopping Campaigns Coming Soon

I’ve been writing a good bit about Bing Shopping recently as I’ve been excited to try it out for one of my clients.

If you missed the previous posts, there is How to Import Shopping Campaigns From Google to Bing and Part 1: Ways to Boost Your Bing Shopping Campaigns Now.

This post is going to highlight features that are either in pilot in the US or are up and coming to Bing Shopping. They might be the right fit to help boost your Shopping campaigns, so read on to check them out.

 Free Shipping Promotion

First off, Bing Ads is enabling a way to show that you offer free shipping. It can be set up if you have a minimum spend threshold or if free shipping is available for your entire store. This feature is in pilot in the US currently but will be coming soon to the UK, FR, DE, AU, CA and IN. You can find out more details on how to show free shipping for your products here.

Local Inventory Ads

These “combo” ads allow you to show both your products that are available in your retail store and local store information at the same time. They allow nearby mobile shoppers to see your store proximity to their current location in the shopping ad. Shoppers can see a map of your store location after they click the ad. This is in pilot in the US only at the writing of this post, but will also be rolled out the UK soon. Learn more about the steps needed to add Local Inventory Ads here.

Bonus – these extensions can go past product ads to search results via Automated Promotion Extensions, like in this example:

They can also be shown on certain relevant brand searches including deals, offers, coupons, etc.

Multiple Images

In the US, be on the lookout for the opportunity to add up to 10 additional images in your product offer feeds. This will be an exciting way to show more product details and increase interest in your products.

Flyer Promotions

Ok, these aren’t directly related to your Shopping campaigns, but they are a pretty cool development for stores that have sales fliers. There are two new components for you to feature your weekly, seasonal or another type of promotional flyer: Flyer Extension and Flyer Carousel ads.

The extension would appear with your search ads and the carousel would stand alone with other flyers for high-level searches such as “weekly deals.” These could be a very exciting way to help your ads stand out on Black Friday and during the holidays. These are currently in pilot in the US only.

Contact your Bing rep or account team if you’d like to participate in any of these exciting pilots.
